The response to the latest weather forecast for Washington, D.C. which is expected to receive more snow on Wednesday was the announcement that all Federal agencies in the nation’s capital will remain CLOSED on February 10, 2010. According to the Washington Post, the decision was announced within the last few hours.
The federal government in Washington, D.C. has largely been shut down since Friday afternoon, when a storm began dumping up to 3 feet of snow in some parts of the region. The snow continues to cause problems in the Northeast and for another business day, keeping almost 230,000 government employees home for the better part of a week.
Emergency employees are expected to report to work on time, as scheduled.
Federal, State and County agaencies from other states hit by the snow storm are also closed as well.
