Because in boxing you usually make a lot of your money in one fight which is usually every couple of months. Wrestling can happen everyday and you don't need to wait a couple of months! So in the end some wrestlers do end up making the same amount as boxers. I don't know if this answer works with wrestlers from like the WWE or TNA. Now if your talking about mixed martial arts, I think they get paid more than boxers and a reason for that can be because of how much they train and learn all the different kinds of martial arts skills :)
