Not at all. It all depends on the type of education the child received at home and school. A well educated and responsible teenager will know that birth control pills can be prescribed for many different reasons not just birth control.

Well I am sure that would not be the reason you did this, so make sure that the teenager understands that it still is respectful to wait. It would be great if they could discuss these things before they happen. Its great that they can at least be protected if they choose not to wait.

Only if you don't explain to them your reasoning and actions. This is a scenario that warrants plenty of dialogue between you and the teenager (I'm assuming daughter).

Nope, better to be prepared ahead of time than dealing with teenage pregnancy

Its a safety precaution, as long as you talk to her about pros and cons to her. She will understand what sex means
